LinkScreen · Terms of Service
Effective date : 2026-11-01
1. Acceptance & Changes
Before downloading, installing, or using LinkScreen (the "App"), please read this agreement carefully. By using the App you accept it in full; if you disagree, please stop using it. The agreement may change as the App evolves — material changes will be announced on this page with a new effective date, and continued use means you accept the updated agreement.
2. Service & License
LinkScreen is a software product developed and maintained by an independent developer.System requirements: An iPhone or iPad running iOS / iPadOS 18.0 or later.
Subject to your compliance with this agreement, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control. We keep improving the App; features may change between versions, and important changes are noted in the changelog.
3. Accounts
LinkScreen requires no account. If you use system-provided services such as cloud sync, that provider's terms also apply to the data involved.
4. Payments, In-App Purchases & Refunds
LinkScreen is free to download and use for core features (connecting to your Mac, touch / pointer / virtual-mouse control, single-display switching across monitors, and more). Pro membership comes in three forms: a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription (both auto-renewing, cancellable anytime in your Apple ID settings), and a one-time lifetime license (no auto-renewal). All three support Family Sharing and can be shared with members of your Family Sharing group. All purchases are completed through Apple's in-app purchase, and prices shown in the app and on the App Store prevail. The free tier also includes per-connection quotas: one rotary scroll-wheel session and two minimal-keyboard text fills per connection (reset automatically each time you start a new connection). Redeem codes are used through Apple's official App Store redemption flow and handled by Apple. To restore a purchase, use “Restore Purchases” in the in-app membership center with the Apple ID you originally purchased with; purchases, refunds, and invoices are handled by Apple — request refunds through Apple's official channel (reportaproblem.apple.com).
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App lawfully, to ensure that content you enter or import is lawful, and not to use the App for any illegal or infringing activity. You will not reverse engineer or decompile the App, copy or modify it or create derivative works, rent, resell, or redistribute it without authorisation, or bypass its technical limits, membership restrictions, or purchase mechanisms.
6. Intellectual Property
Except for content you create or lawfully own, the App — including its code, interface, icons, copy, and design — is owned by the developer. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, sell, or redistribute it without authorisation. Content you create or import remains yours or your licensors'; we claim no ownership over your data.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is". We keep improving it, but to the extent permitted by law we make no promises that it will meet your particular needs, run uninterrupted, timely, securely, or error-free, or that the data it presents is fully accurate or reliable. You are responsible for regularly backing up data you create with the App; we are not liable for losses caused by failure to back up.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages (including data loss, business interruption, or lost profits) arising from use of or inability to use the App, even if advised of the possibility. Our total liability for the App or this agreement is capped at what you actually paid for the App in the past 12 months (zero if you paid nothing).
9. Changes & Termination
You can stop using the App anytime by deleting it; local data on your device remains yours and can be exported with the app's export features. If an app must be discontinued, we will announce it in the app or on this page ahead of time and provide a data-export path where possible. If you breach this agreement, we may limit or suspend your use of the relevant services or features.
10. Governing Law & Disputes
This agreement is governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Disputes shall first be resolved amicably; failing that, either party may bring suit before a court of competent jurisdiction.

Permitted scope of remote access
LinkScreen is a tool for connecting to devices you own or are explicitly authorised to administer. By using the app you agree that you will:
- connect only to your own devices, or to devices whose owner has granted you explicit permission;
- not attempt to access or control any device, account, or network you are not authorised to use;
- safeguard the credentials stored in your Keychain and remain responsible for everything done during a remote session.
Nature and security of remote sessions
- The remote screen, keyboard and mouse events, and recognised text travel directly across your local network; their security depends on your network environment and your Mac’s settings. Do not use LinkScreen on untrusted public networks.
- Authentication and encryption are provided by the macOS Screen Sharing protocol itself (Apple Diffie-Hellman key agreement with symmetric encryption); credentials the app temporarily holds in memory during a session — including passwords you chose not to save — are discarded when the connection ends.
- SSH wake-up uses the SSH protocol to trigger a system service on your Mac for the sole purpose of bringing up Screen Sharing; the app does not execute, nor offer the ability to execute, arbitrary remote commands. The SSH client verifies and pins your Mac’s host key (stored in the on-device Keychain), and asks you to confirm before connecting whenever that host key changes, protecting against man-in-the-middle attacks.
Free quotas and in-app input
- Free quotas are counted per connection: they reset automatically each time you start a new remote connection, with one free rotary scroll-wheel session and two free minimal-keyboard text fills per connection; merely opening a feature without using it does not consume quota. Quota rules may change with app updates — the in-app description prevails.
- The minimal keyboard accepts typed text, system-keyboard dictation, and in-app speech recognition (automatically matched to every locale Apple’s system speech recognition supports, prioritising the app language, system languages, and current input methods); text can be edited freely and is sent to the remote Mac when you tap “Fill”. Only a successful send of non-empty text consumes quota. Speech recognition is performed by the iOS system speech recognition service, and accuracy varies with ambient noise and accent — please review the text before sending.
Disclaimer
- Remote control acts on your real Mac (closing windows, quitting processes, modifying files, and so on). Operate with the consequences in mind; the developer is not liable for actions you take, or their results, during a remote session.
- Actual frame rate and image quality depend on your Mac’s encoding, network conditions, and device load. The in-app frame-rate setting is a request cap, not a guarantee.
