Data We Collect

Inner Day collects no personal information. Your sleep observations, body-day settings, reminders, and observation reports live entirely on your device; when iCloud sync or backup is enabled, data is stored in your own private iCloud space, which the developer cannot access. Health samples (sleep stages, daylight time, steps, and active energy) are read and processed on your device only and are never uploaded to any server. The app includes no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

Permissions: Health access is read-only — the app reads only sleep (including REM / core / deep stages), daylight time, steps, and active energy for rhythm observation and body-day calculation, and never writes or modifies your health data. Calendar access is read-only and used solely to convert events into your body time; the app never writes to your calendar. Alarms are created with the system AlarmKit to ring at your body time. Notifications are used only for wake-window, observation, and rhythm phase-transition reminders and are always local notifications. Network activity is limited to two cases: (1) iCloud sync or backup after you enable it, which uses your own iCloud account; (2) membership purchases, restore purchases, and subscription validation, which are handled by Apple's App Store / StoreKit. Beyond these, the app makes no network requests, and the developer runs no servers.

How We Use Information

Any information described above is used only to keep the app working properly, respond to your support requests, troubleshoot and fix issues, and improve the product. We never use it for any other purpose, never for advertising or profiling, and we never sell it to anyone.

Data Storage & Security

Inner Day is designed around data minimisation: your data stays on your device by default (or syncs, at your option, to a cloud account you control), and our servers do not store your data. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information received through support channels from unauthorised access — though no system can promise absolute security.

Third-Party Services

This app integrates no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We never collect or store your payment details — purchases are processed by Apple.

Retention & Deletion of Support Inquiries

When you contact us by email or similar means, we receive the information you provide (such as your email address and a description of the issue). We keep it only as long as needed to handle your request; you may ask us to delete it at any time.

Your Rights

Under applicable laws and regulations (including the Personal Information Protection Law of the People's Republic of China), you have the following rights:

• Access & correction — view and edit your content and settings in the app at any time;
• Deletion — deleting the app deletes local data; if you enabled cloud sync, you can also delete it in the corresponding cloud service;
• Withdrawing consent — you can revoke permissions anytime in system settings; revocation does not affect data already stored locally;
• Account deletion — not applicable: the app requires no account.

Protection of Minors

Inner Day is a general-audience app. We never knowingly collect personal information or market to minors. Under the Personal Information Protection Law of the People's Republic of China (PIPL), personal information of minors under 14 is sensitive personal information and may only be processed with a guardian's consent. If you are under 14, please read this policy with a guardian and use the app only with their consent. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a minor under 14 without guardian consent, we will delete it as soon as possible.

Updates to This Policy

This policy may change as the app evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app or on this page with a new effective date. Continued use means you accept the updated policy.

Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China and applies to all supported platform versions of Inner Day.

About your health data

Inner Day is a health observation tool, so we state the following explicitly: reading health data requires your explicit grant in the system permission dialog, and access matches only what you enable. You can revoke it at any time in iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices. All analysis — free-running period estimation, sleep trends, observation reports — happens on your device, and results stay on your device and in your own iCloud. Exported PDF / CSV reports and JSON backups are kept by you; please avoid sharing them with parties you do not intend.
